STUDIO POLICIES

1. Ballet lessons will be held during fall (August-December) and spring (January-May) semesters each year, with enrichment workshops offered during the summer. There is a nonrefundable $10 registration fee for EACH fall and spring semester.

2. Semester classes cost $55/month, are held once per week, and will last for 60-90 minutes. Payments for classes are due by the 10th of each month of the semester. Payments can be made by cash, check (payable to Beautiful Balance Ballet), or credit card. A link for credit card payment will be included in the emailed invoice each month.

3. Monthly fees pay for your child's space in the classroom, not for the number of weeks they attend. Unfortunately, missed lessons are not refundable. Please keep your child home if they are sick and for at least 24 hours following a fever. If your child is sick or will be missing a class, please email or text us to let us know. We will do all that we can to help your child catch up on anything they may miss.

4. Parents are always invited to attend class, but please be aware that dancers are often distracted when parents are present in the studio. We ask that siblings of dancers not be left unattended in the studio during class.

5. We ask that parents drive with care in the studio parking lot. Dancers under 12 should be accompanied by an adult until they enter the studio classroom. Dancers will also need to be picked up within 5 minutes of the end of class. We will only release students to parents or legal guardians unless prior authorization is given to us for an alternate pick-up person.

6. Our studio does not focus on competitions, but we will offer performance opportunities for students to share their hard work and progress with their families and others. Recitals will be held in December and May. A recital fee will be charged each semester to offset costume and stage rental costs.

7. Beautiful Balance Ballet Studio follows high standards of modesty in dress and costuming. Dancers will need to provide their own dance attire for classes as specified on the dress code page of our website.

8. We ask that all dancers use the restroom prior to class. Tights and leotards can sometimes be tricky for young dancers in the restroom, so we also recommend that parents help their young dancers practice using the restroom while in dance clothing at home, since they will need to be able to use the restroom independently when they are in the studio.

9. Hair should be worn in a tidy bun, with no hair in the face. If hair is too short for a bun, hair can be clipped back or tied in a short ponytail. This is for safety reasons, and it also helps the instructor verify the proper posture and alignment of dancers. Eyeglasses are always allowed, but it is recommended that they are secured with a sport strap while dancing. Small stud earrings are the only kind of jewelry to be worn by dancers in the studio, and chewing gum is not allowed.

10. Dancers should arrive to class on time, bring a water bottle labeled with their name, and be ready to listen carefully, work hard, be kind, and have fun!!!
